Local discovery advertising

Future option

Apple Ads and local discovery

Consider paid discovery where people look for a nearby business. Separate advertising on Apple Maps from App Store promotion, then assess the product that actually fits your business.

Future option: not offered yet. We currently start with Google Ads search campaigns and the landing page and conversion tracking behind them. Fit, scope and any platform eligibility or account access would be confirmed before this is offered.

Service planning, subject to fit and eligibility. These pages describe a proposed engagement; they do not establish platform access, agency partnership or live campaign delivery.

What this channel does

Apple documents ads on Maps in Suggested Places and relevant search results. A verified Apple Business organization and claimed locations are part of the setup path. App Store advertising promotes apps and is a different inventory and engagement scope.

Where it may fit

Maps advertising may suit an eligible location-based business whose information and customer experience are ready. An app publisher needs a separate App Store advertising assessment; the same assumptions should not be applied to both.

How it typically works

  1. Identify the actual Apple product, advertiser country and locations in scope.
  2. Confirm organization verification, location ownership and supported agency permissions.
  3. Agree approved assets and budget, then evaluate the actions and business outcomes available.

What we would manage

  • Business-listing and asset-readiness review before proposing a campaign.
  • Location and creative planning within the verified product's controls.
  • Review of available discovery actions and client-confirmed outcomes.

What you would provide

  • Client control of the relevant Apple Business organization and locations.
  • Verified business details, approved images and an agreed payment arrangement.
  • Explicit delegated management permissions and a responsible client approver.

What we would measure

  • Available ad exposure and interaction reports, with definitions stated.
  • Calls or directions where the product exposes them; these are intent signals, not sales.
  • Booked work or visits only when supported by an approved business source.

Measurement starts only after access is separately authorized and the inquiry path works.

Set the right expectations

Important boundaries

Apple's checked Maps guidance lists the United States and Canada, with business-location and organization-address requirements. Recheck availability and agency permissions for the specific account. Apple chooses eligible placements; we do not guarantee them, API access, partnership status or attribution of a store visit.
