What this channel does
Local Services Ads connect eligible local businesses with calls or messages. Unlike conventional click-based search campaigns, this product uses a lead-oriented billing model. Category, geography and screening requirements apply.
Where it may fit
A possible fit for eligible service businesses with accurate business information, the required qualifications and someone available to respond. Category examples are not a substitute for checking your specific business and location.
How it typically works
- Confirm category, service-area eligibility and the checks required for the business.
- Review profile information, lead routing and an approved budget before launch.
- Assess incoming lead quality and booked work, with the client handling customer conversations.
What we would manage
- Eligibility and profile-readiness review; no invented badge or certification.
- Agreed service-area, schedule and budget management after access is authorized.
- Lead-quality review, reporting and current credit or dispute options where applicable.
What you would provide
- Client control of its business profile, advertiser account and billing.
- Business, license, insurance or identity evidence when required by Google, supplied securely.
- Accurate service details, an approved receiving number and an accountable lead responder.
What we would measure
- Platform-reported charged leads and ad cost, with billing definitions stated.
- Valid versus unwanted inquiries and the client's response outcomes.
- Booked jobs or appointments confirmed by the client; no assumption that every lead sells.
Measurement starts only after access is separately authorized and the inquiry path works.

Important boundaries
Google is phasing Local Services Ads into Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals. Timing and account workflows vary. Check the account's actual migration notice and preserve historical reporting before transition; do not treat this as ordinary Performance Max or promise screening approval.
